The Victorian Government, is partnering with Vietcetera Media to promote Victorian premium food and beverage products at showcase events in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Attending chefs and Global Vic representatives in Vietnam

The exclusive and interactive showcase events will feature demonstrations from high-profile chefs using Victorian ingredients. Targeting the foodservice sector, the event will feature Victorian ‘hero products’ such as grass-fed beef, lamb, seafood, high-value dairy products, and wine. The showcase is an opportunity to present the exceptional quality of Victoria’s products to food influencers, chefs at leading hotel and restaurant groups, gourmet food chains, and journalists from well-known food and beverage media in Vietnam.

Commissioner for Victoria to South East Asia Rebecca Hall said “We are delighted to partner with our distributors and partners in Vietnam to present our high-quality Victorian food and beverage products”.

“Through the Taste of Victoria events, Vietnam’s chefs and food industry experts will have the chance to sample Victoria’s best ingredients prepared by Vietnam’s best chefs. The showcase will highlight the exceptional quality and taste of Victorian food and beverage.”

Ms. Hall noted the value of being able to support importers of Victorian products and the foodservice industry in Vietnam after extended periods of closures.

“The Victorian Government Trade and Investment Office here in Vietnam is always looking at ways to connect Victorian exporters’ and support their distributors in Vietnam, we thank the distributors who have been part of this promotion” Ms. Hall said.

The showcase events will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in March.

Vietnam is one of Victoria’s largest two-way merchandise trade markets, with significant links in food and beverage, education, and manufacturing. These links are supported by a vibrant Vietnamese community in Victoria. The Victorian Government Trade and Investment Office, Ho Chi Minh City looks to build upon these significant links.

Hero Products

Some of the Hero products showcased at the events include Blackmore’s Wagyu 9+ and Mulwarra Lamb. Characteristically, Wagyu beef is highly marbled, fine-textured, and incredibly tender. This means that the muscle is finely interspersed with fat, and this particular Wagyu has an ‘intra-muscular’ of up to 9+. Mulwarra Lamb, on the other hand, is a quality, reliable and premium product sourced from the pristine green pastures of Australia’s southern state of Victoria, using only second cross lambs bred solely for meat production.

Hero products such as Josdale Black Angus Beef, Woodward Lamb, Yumbah Greenlip Abalone, Meredith Valley goat Cheese, Farmer union Greek Yogurt, Peerless Butter, and Green table Grape were also in the event.
